Many people judge hunting with comments such as "Its a cruel sport." The majority of these people know little to nothing about hunting and trapping. The truth is that hunters keep animal populations in check. If animal populations were not balanced then wildlife would overflow into the cities and also cause the food chain to go unbalanced. Who wants a wild boar in their front yard threatening to attack them? Many people also are unaware of the strict regulations put into place every year. Regulations are set every single year for hunters. Regulations include how many of a species can be killed, how big they must be to be killed, where hunters can hunt, and more. Hunters must obtain a lisence to hunt most animals. Now poaching is something that should be stopped and many everyday citizens mistake hunting such as white tail deer for the "sport" of poaching. My opinion on this is that there truly is no horror in hunting. The only horror is that most people are uneducated about hunting. This article makes my blood literally boil. It states "hunting disrupt migration and hibernation patterns and destroys families." For one learn how to use commas. Two hunting seasons are set to not interfere with migration and hibernation patterns. When whitetail deer season is in there are no fawns with does and deer do not hibernate nor do they migrate. This statement was made by an uneducated person. If this person knew anything about hunting seasons they would not of made that statement. If they had made themselves clear and stated they were talking about poaching then they would be realitvely correct. But, we are talking about normal legal hunting. This uneducated person also made the mistake of saying that hunting had nothing to do with population control. Yes it very much does. They also said that nature takes care of its self. Well because of construction of cities and neighborhoods animals are pushed out of their homes. These animals end up in the grill of your truck and on your windshield. Game wardens have set regulations to keep populations in check. Hunting has everything to do with population. I could barely read this article without slamming my fists into the wall!
